Winona Rec Program - North Star FC

General Information

Come join the fun this spring with North Star FC’s Winona REC League! Our recreational program is designed to provide a fun, active, and inclusive soccer experience for players of all skill levels.

We offer leagues for:

Pre-K (age 4) – Kindergarten
1st/2nd Grade
3rd/4th Grade
5th/6th Grade

Players in Pre-K through 2nd grade will play entirely in-house—no travel required. For grades 3–6, our goal is to build a full Winona-based league. If we don’t reach the required numbers, teams in these age groups will travel to Rochester up to 3 times per session for games.

Program Details:

Practices: 1–2 times per week (based on age group)
Games: Saturdays
Coaches: This is a volunteer-driven program. While some coaches may have prior soccer experience and others may not, all coaches will be supported by our full-time Coaching Director who provides training and guidance throughout the season.

Registration Info:
Players should register based on the grade they will enter for the 2024–2025 school year.

Practice Information

Practice Nights

Pre K – K will practice Mondays

Grades 1-6 will practice M/W

Times are typically 530pm or 630pm. Times will be determined by the coach.

All practices will be held at LaCanne Park

Pre K thru 2nd grade will play all games in Winona on Saturdays

Grades 3-6 will travel to Rochester 3 times during he season if we do not get enough interest to make an in-house league.

Grade Pre -K/K = $50
Grades 1-6 = $60

Financial aid is available. It is located on the page when you begin your registration- click on club programs, and then at the top you will see Financial Aid- fill out the information and submit.

Players should be registered based on the grade that they will be in for the 2024-2025 school year.
