By collaborating with the Austin Youth Soccer Association, North Star FC and AYSA have joined forces to provide enhanced opportunities and resources for soccer players in Austin and neighboring communities. Among these resources is our innovative Austin REC Program.
Designed specifically for players embarking on their soccer journeys, the REC program caters to those who may not be ready for the significant commitment of competitive soccer. This program presents a fantastic opportunity for players to forge new friendships, engage in physical exercise, build confidence, and seamlessly integrate into the tight-knit North Star Austin Family!
- Kindergartners and 4 year old’s- this age group will be COED.
- 1st/2nd graders (COED)
- 3rd/4th graders
Practice & Registration Information
All practices for Pre K-2nd grade will be held at Kaufman Park (8th Street and 11th Avenue SE)
Practices start at 5:30pm - (can work around coach's schedule)
Grades Pre K-K – Practice night- Tuesdays
Grades 1/2- Practice nights- Monday/Wednesdays
Grades 3/4- Practice nights- Tuesday/Thursdays
- Grade 3/4 will have a total of 6 games- this league will be combined with Albert Lea Grade 3/4- the plan is for Austin players to play against themselves 2 times, travel to Albert Lea 2 times and have Albert Lea travel to Austin 2 times.
Games - Saturdays Morning 9-11am
Practices will start the week of April 20th. The season will conclude June 6th. All games will be played on Saturdays. Total of 6 weeks!

FREE REGISTRATION Opportunity: MN Rush offers one free player registration if parent agrees to coach a team. That’s correct, FREE soccer registration if you coach a team!
Grade PreK- K (COED)- $55
Boys / Girls Registration- $60
– Grades 1/2
**Financial Aid is available for anyone that is need. During the registration process you will see Financial Aid tab at the top of the rec registration page in playmetrics.
We need your help! This program does not exist unless we have volunteer coaches. We provide you with all the lesson plans and equipment. If you are interested in coaching, please contact Fabian Becerril at fbecerril@northstarfc.com
Each player will receive a team top. Parents will choose t-shirt size during registration
Players must provide:
– Shin guards
– Soccer Cleats or Tennis Shoes
– Soccer Ball
– Water Bottle
