General Information
The Albert Lea REC Program provides a fun, inclusive, and community-centered soccer experience for young athletes of all skill levels. Practices take place in local parks, and games are held on Saturdays right here in Albert Lea.
Team Structure
Teams are formed by grade and gender whenever possible, with some age groups combined to create the best possible playing experience:
- 4-year-olds & Kindergarten – Coed
- 1st & 2nd Grade – Boys and Girls Teams
- 3rd & 4th Grade – Boys and Girls Teams

Practice & Registration Information
Spring Dates
Practices - start the week of April 2oth
First Game- April 25th
Last Game- June 6th
All practices will be held at Edina Memorial Park- typically 5:30 - 6:30pm, but it is coaches choice.
All games will be held at Edina Memorial Park- PreK-K- 9am, Grades 1/2- 10am
Grades Pre K-K - Practice night - Tuesday
Grades 1/2 - Practice nights - Monday/Wednesday
Grades 3/4 - Practice nights - Tuesday/Thursday -
- Games- Grade 3/4 will play 4v4 and play against other Albert Lea teams, and Austin teams. The tentative plan would be 6 games total- 2 games against Albert Lea Teams, 2 games against Austin teams at home and 2 games against Austin Teams away.
We need your help! This program does not exist unless we have volunteer coaches.
We provide you with all the lesson plans and equipment.

Each player will receive a team top. Players will choose their size during registration

Boys / Girls Registration- $65
- Grades 1/2 and 3/4
Free Registration- North Star FC offers free player registration if a parent agrees to coach a team. Parents will be refunded their child's registration at the end of the season.
