The North Star FC Developmental Academy offers a competitive, growth-focused environment for players ages U9 to U19 who are committed to improving their skills and competing at a high level. This program serves as the tier just below our Academy level and provides excellent training and competition for developing players.<\/p>\n

Each age group typically features 2\u20133 teams<\/strong>, allowing us to place players in the best environment for their growth and playing experience. Our Developmental Academy teams compete in strong local leagues, including the Southeast Minnesota Soccer League (SMSL)<\/strong>, Minnesota Academy League<\/strong>, and the Metro Alliance League<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Players will be in an environment that fosters player development with age-specific and structured training sessions. All overseen by our high quality, advanced licensed full time coaching department.\u00a0 The focus is on continued technical improvement, tactical understanding, and preparing players for future opportunities within the club or beyond.<\/p>\n

  • Senior Staff Coaches for each age group- these professional coaches have advanced degrees in coaching. Currently on staff we have the two A-licensed Professional Coaches and 3 B-license coaches.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/li>\n
  • Senior Goalkeeper Coach to work with all teams and offer private keeper sessions.

    U9-U12 will be at <\/span>Rush World<\/span> and U13 and older will be at the <\/span>RCTC Dome<\/span>.<\/span><\/h4>\n

    Due to the complexity of the schedule with other groups, practice sessions will rotate nights. Once we know the number of teams, we will update the schedule. We aim for each team to have 2 practices a week, but that is not always the case.<\/span><\/h4>\n

                At North Star FC<\/strong>, we offer multiple levels of play within each age group to ensure every player is placed in the best environment for their development.<\/p>\n

                Player placement is determined through coach evaluations<\/strong> and tryouts<\/strong>. While tryouts are not mandatory<\/strong>, they are highly encouraged<\/strong>, as they provide valuable insight for our selection committee when forming teams.<\/p>\n
