The Work Space.

This area of the Site is for the benefit of Users. The private and shared Work Space areas of the Site help to facilitate communication and the exchange and sharing of information. The information contained in private work spaces shared between Users and Northstar Family of Companies is not used for any purposes other than to facilitate communication and the exchange of information between the parties involved.

Information We Gather.

We collect non-public personal information submitted by loan applicants via our online loan application forms. We collect this information on behalf of our loan broker clients. All non-public information and data related to both loan applicants and our broker clients is and will be considered confidential, proprietary and non-public. It's understood that any disclosure of such confidential or non-public information to any other party could cause significant personal and competitive harm.

Information We Disclose and To Whom We Disclose Information.

We disclose the non-public personal information that we collect only to the specific loan broker on whose behalf we collected that information. (We recommend that loan applicants coming to our site from a loan broker site consult the privacy policy of that loan broker.) We may also disclose information to government agencies, if required by law, to comply with a legal summons, court order, subpoena or a similar legal process. NorthStar agrees that it is not granted right or license, express or implied, to the confidential information. We do not and will not provide, trade, sell or rent information to any other party.

Confidentiality and Security Procedures.

We restrict access to the information we collect to those employees who need to know such information in the course of providing our services. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard this information. We provide a secure server and password-protected environment that protects all information by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. SSL encodes and decodes the transmission of information to prevent the interception by another party. This transmission can be done on our website at 128 bit encryption. Our users can confirm that they are in a secure mode by verifying that their web browser's URL/address/location line begins with "https://". (In contrast, a line that begins with "http://" indicates a non-secure transmission mode).

Registration.

If You register to use or provide services using Northstar Alliance Inc., we may collect and store information that specifically identifies You or your account ("Personally Identifiable Information"). If You terminate your membership, your Personally Identifiable Information cannot be recovered. You may continue to receive email communications for a short period of time until we have updated all of our databases. After termination of your membership, your Personally Identifiable Information may remain on our archived database and records for a reasonable time as residual information. We will not use this residual information. Notwithstanding the above, we will maintain information on Users who have been removed for violating our Membership Agreement.
